Every year, thousands of university graduates make a life changing choice to live and work in South Korea for a year. They come to work at English schools or language academies that exist throughout the country. These schools offer students from kindergarten to high school the opportunity to learn and improve their English language skills outside of the public school system. Of course a lot of these schools are located in the large urban centers in cities like Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Daejeon, and Gwangju, however there are language schools in smaller urban centers and towns as well. The schools offer small classes for students to improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. A lot of these schools hire native English speakers to help the students learn.
